About Erin

Representative Erin Healy is currently serving her second term in the South Dakota State House. Erin is a Democratic Minority Whip and sits on the House Health and Human Services, Education, and Legislative Rules Committees. She has been a member of two mental health taskforce committees and is a commissioner for the Midwest Higher Education Compact. She focuses on legislation that will improve conditions in South Dakota for families and children and is especially interested in work surrounding early education, women’s healthcare, and child advocacy. Rep. Healy works to build bipartisan support to address South Dakota issues and focuses on legislation that turns problems into sustainable solutions.

On June 18, 2022, Erin married the love of her life and became a step-mother to two of the coolest kids. You can often find Erin, Brandon, Harrison, Pearl and Ruth the dog visiting with family or hosting friends for backyard barbeques. They love to walk downtown Sioux Falls to enjoy all Sioux Falls has to offer—Falls Park, great sculptures, and unique local businesses.
